LAS VEGAS — Techex announced today that its tx darwin is a Connect category winner in the 2024 NAB Show Product of the Year Awards. This official awards program recognizes some of the most significant and promising new products and technologies showcased by exhibitors at NAB Show.
Designed for next-generation software-defined hybrid and pure cloud workflows, Techex’s tx darwin offers a highly secure and ultra-flexible live media processing, transport & monitoring platform for deployment anywhere within a contribution & delivery chain. tx darwin was built as part of Techex’s aim to bridge the gap between the rigorous standards of traditional broadcast and the agility of cloud native infrastructure.
From its inception, tx darwin introduced the distinctive ability to switch seamlessly between dissimilar MPEG Transport Streams allowing cloud workflows to be not only switched seamlessly & intelligently, but also changed, repurposed or regenerated in multiple ways.
New to the tx darwin platform this year, also on request from Broadcasters, is individual SCTE manipulation at scale. SCTE 35 & 104 manipulation is in use extensively in broadcast and streaming, but managing this at scale whilst also maintaining granular control of different channels is not available outside of tx darwin in a modular fashion which allows for a flexible best-of-breed workflow.
These modules are part of a growing set of modules and capabilities built specifically for customers that thrive on evolution as they move to deploy software in the cloud, on-prem and the edge. NAB Show Product of the Year Award Winners were selected by a panel of industry experts in 15 categories and announced in a live awards ceremony at NAB Show on April 16. To be eligible for an award, nominated products had to come from companies exhibiting at the 2024 NAB Show and be delivered within the 2024 calendar year.
