ESG
Our ESG Policy
Just like all the component companies in the live broadcast industry - from those recording and commentating on live events, to those delivering content to a viewer's screen - Techex is committed to an ongoing assessment of our ESG performance. We are constantly innovating and evolving against our ESG framework.

Committed to sustainability
We work alongside one of the UK's leading ESG consultancies, Sustainable Advantage, who have developed an ESG scoring framework covering 75 ESG areas. A tailored action plan has been created and shared with the ESG committee for implementation with target scores set. We care deeply about making a difference and building a team who are ready to drive change in the broadcast industry.
We are proud that Techex has been awarded the DPP Committed to Sustainability mark. This means as a company we are more focused than ever on measuring and monitoring our performance for sustainability.
Environment
The main environmental impacts of the broadcasting industry are greenhouse gas emissions (GHG), energy use, raw material consumption, and electronic waste. While Techex doesn't work throughout the breadth of the supply chain we are nonetheless committed to reducing our environmental impact wherever possible - both in broadcasting as well as at home in our office.
Techex helps Tier 1 broadcasters and media companies maximise utilisation of resources through enabling IP video distribution and software-defined video delivery. The Cloud enables decentralisation of production, allowing teams to work remotely. The ability to scale out and tear down infrastructure as required when it's no longer in use is a huge driver of efficiency. Techex develops our technology with sustainability, security, and performance superiority in mind.
- Techex's tx edge delivers an unprecedented 15Gbps of encrypted SRT throughput in a single, compact 1U server
- The tx product family uses highly optimised code for lowest possible compute footprint
- We enable flexible and transparent CapEx, usage, and OpEx models

Social
The core principle of the Techex Social policy is to provide environments that improve the quality of life of its stakeholders. We're committed to a diverse workforce; our Director, Camilla James, is an award nominee for business leadership at RISE which campaigns for gender diversity in the traditionally male-dominated industry of media technology.
We strive to create an environment representative of the world in which we live. We do this by hiring a diverse workforce, including aiming to increase the number of women and people of colour at Techex.
Governance
Our ambition at Techex is to be a good long-term partner, to treat people fairly and with respect across all aspects of our business, and to assess and ensure that our partners' ESG visions align with our own. This includes a zero-tolerance approach towards bribery and corruption.
We are committed to total transparency on the environmental and social impacts of our business, and fully understand the importance of governance risks and opportunities in decision-making.
